Oil Painter, Jekyll Island, Georgia
I am intrigued by the magic of light and how it can change the color
and mood of a scene. When possible I like to paint outdoors,
surrounded by the colors and atmosphere of the landscape. There is
beauty everywhere, often in obscure places. I try to capture this as
I express my feelings with paint.
After teaching elementary school and doing advertising and design
for two small businesses, the urge to paint became strong. I began
to study with locally and nationally known artists. My paintings
have been exhibited in individual and group shows in Western New
York and in Southeast Georgia.
